Hi guys, are there any differences between the ones with the K55K cat logos on the handles and the ones with the plain handles?, apart from the blade steel. Cheers Kris

I may be mistaken, but...

The one with the cat is a lockback and has a longer blade
The one without the cat is a slipjoint and has a shorter blade.

Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

My plain ones I have are lockbacks, thanks anyway,

Carl almost said it - Mercators are made in different lenght and with and without a locking mechanism. The Cat-K55Ks are longer and have the locking mechanism. But there are other locking Mercators without that logo. The smaller ones (slipjoints) don´t usually have that logo.

Here´s the link to Otter knives - I made the link directly to the "Mercator-section" - so you can look at the different lengths and if with or without locking mechanism. (It´s in german and no english translation is available - sorry, guys)
