A few months back, I found this Imperial Ireland Barlow at an antique store. I'd been eyeing the pattern, so of course I had to get it. Since I'm not very familiar with carbon steel, and having never handled much (if any) up to that point, I didn't realize that it was. When I did, I decided to give it a shot. Well, it hasn't quite caught on with me. I'm going to stick with my stainless. So, if anyone's interested in giving this 'mere trifle' a good home, let me know in the comments, and I'll do some sort of drawing with the next few days. WINNER CHOSEN! See post #17.

Rules:
1. Must be 18 or older.
2. CONUS only.

4. A traditional forum member/lurker/etc. Basically, someone into traditionals.
(optional): Post a picture of your traditional(s) with a chess/checkerboard, or some other interesting, wood-related item.

You can't upload pictures directly to the forum without a paid membership, but you can open a free account on one of the hosting sites (I use Photobucket), upload your picture there, then copy the IMG tagged code they give you there and paste it into your post here. If you click "Reply With Quote" at the bottom of this post, you can see what it lloks like when you do it.

I am in, if I am allowed. I like your chess board picture - I enjoy playing but am not particularly good at it. :D

I'd love to give that barlow a nice pocket to sit in as an EDC. Please count me in.

Those would be quite good blades - good carbon used! - thank you for this great give-away - someones going to really like that knife!
Not an entry - but a thank you

Thanks for the kind GAW

The next person to enter gets my entry as well :)

Heres a cool little wood and wicker chair inside a bottle. Made in the 1930s.

I'm in! I like a good barlow and I would take care of the knife well. I'll update this post tomorrow with pics of my new gecs.

Great gaw, what a wonderful little Barlow! Could not get to my chess board just now for a new pic, but here's one with a favorite...

Congratulations, Jody744; that's a sweet barlow you won! Thanks for your generosity, mrszeontestpilot!
