I was cutting some weeds earlier today with my Spyderco Merlin when i had a little accident (swiped too hard) and felt it snag on my jeans, a few seconds later i felt a sharp pain in my leg, i looked down and saw a 2 inch tear in my jeans and i felt a wet patch developing around it, anyway it didn't seem to be bleeding much so i just went about my business and checked it out an hour or two later when i got home. The cut itself was only about an inch long, but was deep (gaping) so i stuck a couple of plasters across it and later on went to the minor injuries ward and got a couple of stitches on it. A few points to note;
1 i carry my Merlin in case i get attacked by some fishing line
and today's little experience has proved to me just how effective it would carry out that role
