Merriman Knife Pistol

Went to the site but couldn't find any pictures showing the knife/pistols. Sounds intriguing and I was curious as to what they looked like. Will there be some pix soon?

You can see an article on "cut-n-shoots" in the lastest issue of Blade Magazine.

Do a search on pistol folders and you'll find some more...

Gus - can I ask what the problem was? I suspect that if MerrimanG&K had a paying membership, then what was posted would be ok? (I didn't see this thread until after it had been moderated)

No, spamming the discussion forums with ads is not allowed even for paying members. A paying membership only allows you to advertise in the appropriate Exchange forum.

so it was an ad....posted "for sale"?

thought maybe it was a link to a website or something...which I'd very much like to see.

Seems the mistake was made twice (2 diff. forums)

Merriman - please don't be discouraged from sharing your work here on BFC. Pony up for a knifemakers (or gold) membership and show us the goods!

There are more than a few of us that are very interesting in "blades and barrels".

I placed a link to show the Knife Pistol I was making. The link went to the web site my son-in-law made for me. Are we allowed to place a link to our web site on here and are we allowed to place pictures of our knives here as well?

Thank You,

Ken,

You are allowed to place links to items "for show" but not "for sale"...unless, that is, you sign up for a knifemaker's membership ($45/yr - worth every penny) and post your "for sale" thread in the proper forum - The Knife Exchange.

Otherwise, if you just want to show us the pretty pictures....head to The Gallery and post the pictures there.

Hope to see it soon!

Dan

So can I post a picture of it here or do I have to do it someplace else.

This is just a picture for show. This one is not for sale. This is my first completed model. If there is a different place I need to post this let me know, I'm new here. :)

Thanks,
Ken Merriman

Welcome to Bladeforums, Ken!

That's a pretty nice lookin' pistol folder. I'd consider posting it in both forums....there are a few other folks that make their own that would love to see it.

If you have any other questions, just shoot me an email.

Thanks Dan,

I'll place a link on my website for this site. It seems there are some very helpful and friendly people here.

Thanks for the info.

First of all and most importantly, welcome to Blade Forums Ken. I hope you enjoy things here at least as much as I enjoy your work (and this place too.)

The reason both of your first posts were edited is that they were both exactly the same word for word and they were a little too much worded like an advertisement. Someone brought it up in the Moderator's forum and I agreed with them. I copied both posts as they were to the mod forum (as is always our practice in the General Forums) and edited the posts. We try to keep things on an even keel as much as possible.

If anyone feels I have done wrong they are free to email me or Spark. If I did make a mistake I apoligize and the threads can be restored but I do not think I did in this particular case.

Bastid, no need to apoligize. I was so excited to get on this forum I didn't take time to read much of the rules on posting.

Thanks for explaining it, I look forward to many posts here. :)
