Merry Christmas, all!

Below is the photo that we used for this year's holiday card, which is of our daughter, Ruby (written in 瑠美 Japanese):

2008-holiday-photo.jpg

The photo was taken in February, at a professional photo studio in Japan, and is a "Shichi-Go-San" (literally meaning "Seven, Five, and Three," referring to the ages at which these photos are taken) photo. She turns eight years old in March.

My wife is getting Sony's latest ultra-compact digital camera, the Cyber-shot DSC-T2. She has no clue that she is getting this.

Our boys, ages 17 and 20, are getting cold, hard cash.:thumbup:

And, Ruby obviously has a few surprises in store for her. :D

For me, having a wonderful family is the best gift of all. But, that doesn't mean I cannot treat myself. Yesterday represented the end of the wonderful ten-day waiting period for two revolvers that I bought, and I will pick them up later today. My dealer is open until 3PM. I will ask my wife to wrap them up, from me to me.:thumbup:

BTW, we're thinking to go to Chevy's for Christmas dinner.

Merry Christmas, Ken! You have one beautiful daughter, as well!

A girl needs a knife...

Merry Christmas Ken! Have a great dinner as well (Chevy's is one of my favorites. Especially since that is where I was when I found out my youngest daughter was on her way into the world.).

happy holiday, ken, and thank you for all the great pics you bring us. as a personal favor, please take your family anywhere but chevy's for dinner! :D

din, you wrote:

Is there any particular reason behind this request? My wife and I are looking forward to enjoying fresh frozen margaritas, probably "Grande" size for each of us.:thumbup:

And, I am sure that "Feliz Navidad" will be playing as the background music, which certainly sounds like Christmas to me.

last time I ate there I had terrible food poisoning. :(
but, I don't drink, so maybe the tequila will kill anything in your dinner. :D

Hmm. Guess I must admit I got a dose of that at a Chevy's down south in El Segundo a few years ago.

This doesn't mean, of course, that your local Chevy's has any problems at all!

I ... just felt compelled to 'fess up' after I read Din's post.

We dine at the local Chevy's, in the Almaden Valley area of San Jose, often, and have yet to have any problems. In fact, the food is quite good. We have dined at other Chevy's, but prefer the food that is prepared at the local one.

Come to think of it, I have had more problems with Cafe Adobe, the on-site cafeteria where I work (Adobe Systems).

BTW, Ruby's favorite menu item at Chevy's is the Juicy Shrimp & Steak Fajitas.:thumbup:

next time I'm in your neck of the woods, I'll have to check it out then. I have friends in pacifica, and I'm hoping to be in the vicinty again come february. I'm trusting you on this one!

Wait a minute, you're in Cali like me. How'd you get around the one handgun a month limit?
