Just got done with Christmas Eve with my family. Now I get to do it all over again with my wife's family tomorrow.

We will be spending the day with our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, looking forward to seeing everyone! We celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary on the 18th, and January 1st is Connie’s birthday so we are busy. Then my aneurysm surgery is scheduled for the 16th, I’m a little scared and nervous about that, so I’m just trying to enjoy life one day at a time.

I hope it's a good one for you all! It will be a low key one for me, just my brother and I. I will sleep in (at least until my cat decides I need to get up!), then call my mom. Got a nice chuck roast for the smoker.

Happy New Year! It’s also my wife’s birthday, so we are going to our daughters house to celebrate this afternoon.

Happy birthday too. I mentioned this in another thread: Gonna eat some black eyed peas, southern tradition, so is same for greens but not on the menu for today. It is supposed to represent prosperity or good fortune for the new year.
