I'm on the email notification list from Neil at TrueNorthknives. He got a bunch of knives in last night. looked at it last night, looked at it this morning.

Some from last night have already sold! I know what has happened in the past. I ponder about getting something I like then, boom, it's gone while I ponder. So I got it, now I get to go figure out what to sell to cover it.

Large classic mammoth inlay:

good score DaveH!

don't forget to reverse the screws.

cheers

Ron LaBella

Thanks for the heads up. I have put in an order for one as well, hope I get it. I have been looking at those for a long time.

Ron--what is with the reverse screws thing? Sounds kind of obscene!

Thanks,

Tim

Let me take this one....

Some folk think that reversing the screws such that the smooth side is showing on the 'presentation' slab makes for a more appealing Sebenza. To me that is blasphemy! If Chris Reeve would have wanted the screws reversed they would have bloody well came that way...:grumpy: ....... :p

I noticed the same thing, I was looking at the exact one you bought...Great pick of the mammoth's.

He has several neat uniques as well

OMG!! That is grogeous!! That is an awesome present to give yourself. That is simply exquisite!!!

Merry Christmas, Dave! :) That is definitely one good-looking knife. I think the gold colored thumbstud goes especially well with those inlays.

I must say you really know how to treat yourself! Course I did the same only my large Classic came with ironwood.:)

UH OH!

I have a VERY serious problem.

The above arrived today and it's even more amazing in person.

It makes me want to sell all my LE woods so I can by mammoth inlays.

I keep on trying to talk myself out of buying another one but images like that make it hard.

Not exactly for me . . . this is a gift that I just gave my wife, her first CRK. The inlay is ebony, which reminds her of our daughter's piano playing. She's also likes diamonds (what girl doesn't . . .). My wife is a long time SAK Classic EDCers, so we spent quite a bit of time tonite working on one hand opening.

That is a beautiful Mnandi!! I wouldn't want one with a diamond though, but that is just me. I have practiced and CAN open my Mnandi one handed.

It will be interesting to see how the diamond and gold inlay holds up. I get the impression that most models with these types of embellishments are safe queens, but she'll be EDCing it.

Super nice knives DaveH and Fooj!

I just got my first CRK today...a small regular Sebenza...next I'll have to save for one with inlays.

:)
