I just finished this project and thought I'd show a few in-progress shots.

Here's the finished sheath:










Here's a few in progress shots taken mostly of the inlay process I used.
I started out with a cardboard template drawn EXACTY to dimension with all the lines I needed that will be cut out from this one template.


I'm using a piece of moose antler taken from the back of the palm. I cut out the two largest flat sections I could find, split them on the band saw, the ground away any leftover pith. The pieces were then sent through the thickness sander a few times.
This is what I had to work with, two pieces:
