Message icon in our posting has a "lock"symbol

We are recent members of BladeForums and we posted a thread with some knives we made. We received a message posted to the thread, but we are unable to open the message. The envelope icon has a lock pictured on it and we need some help figuring out how to open our message. I have tried to look at the FAQs but everytime I try to open the FAQs, I get an error message that says we can't be connected. Any suggestions or help? Thanks, appreciate any help

I don't see any messages connected to that thread. I wonder if it was moderated and a moderator approved it, clearing the lock icon. Sometimes pictures can put a thread into the moderation queue.
 
I realized that there aren't any messages. I was looking at the Icon and mis intrepreted the green arrow. I know what that is now. What I don't understand is why the thread is closed. As far as I know, I didn't put anything on there that is against the rules. Perhaps I put too many items for sale in one thread. I will investigate that option. thanks for the reply
 
What probably happened is you inadvertently locked it yourself. Sometimes it can be easy to do. In any case I unlocked for you.

To lock/unlock a thread go to the top of the first post under the administrative tab.
