So I got a CTS-XHP Millie in the mail today, with the intention of putting the blade on my Fluted Titanium Millie. CTS-XHP blade ended up not fitting well so reassembled both knives.

When I tightened the pivot on the CTS-XHP Millie, one of the washers was slightly over the female threaded side of the pivot and ended up getting warped. Foolishly, I tried replacing it with a different washer and ended up ruining the other good washer as well.

After perusing the Spyderco warranty page it has become clear to me that damages that occur from disassembly are not covered. I also checked out the Spyderco forum and in the one instance that I found, Spyderco wasn't willing to sell just the washers. So, where can I find the correct size? I know usaknifemaker has a lot of options, I just don't know which are the correct size.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You'll need to measure the id/od and thickness to get the correct ones. I butchered a washer yesterday on my M390 Millie, but I was able to flatten it again and lightly sand the id to take the dic mark out.

It is worth a call to Spyderco. I have gotten washers in the mail when I needed some.

Yeah, I definitely don't have any precision measurement tools on hand. So measuring the ID/OD and thickness is not something I can do, unfortunately. I might try flattening them but I'd definitely prefer just getting a new pair.

Just emailed Spyderco Customer Service. Hopefully they respond. I guess I'll give a call as well, but I'm assuming that they're not available on weekends. I guess it's worth a shot.

I messed up the washers on an R Nishijin and I contacted Spyderco and they sent me several washers for free. They did, of course, chide me for taking the knife apart.

That was my experience as well, but if you don't have the same luck, good effing luck on finding a replacement. On another project I spent hours and hours on knife supplier websites looking for the right PB washers. :(
