Just had to post a note about meeting Mr. Chuck Buck (spelled right this time I hope) at Smoky Mt. Knife Works. He is truly a gentleman and a super nice guy. He signed my Buck Knife book and several knives. We talked more about our faith in Christ than anything. I would loved to have spent more time talking to him but there were many other people also wanting to share with Mr. Buck. My wife and I were very impressed with the way he conducted himself. I hope they will bring him back for Christmas or Thanksgiving or Labor Day, etc...This was truly the highlight of my knife collecting experience.

Russel,

I knew you would enjoy meeting Chuck. I am glad you had the opportunity. I wish everyone who owns a Buck knife could have the chance.

Looking forward to meeting all ya'll there. Anyone who doesn't know the Way just read John 14:6. There is only one Way but He gives a direct ticket. Good forever but will only be needed once. See you there!

Nevermind ... last thing we need here is a theological debate - there are other forums for that!

Having said that, see y'all there! (where and whatever "there" is!)

Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes.
Then if he gets mad, he'll be a mile away, and barefoot!

Hi Folsom,
Yes, it is true that we are definitely sinful mortals. There's good news, though. He left us directions! He also left us a copy of His plan. He also said that striving and working as hard as we can is useless in our own power. But please, don't take my word for it, read the book.

I just realized that I don't have any Bucks in my collection! No reason, I just haven't bought any lately, and those I have had have been given away or traded (I give away a lot of knives). After reading this thread, you may rest assured that my next purchase will be a Buck, either a FB or a classic slipjoint. I make no bones about it: I love to spend my money with unapologetic Christians! It also helps if they make and sell excellent products, as Mr. Buck and his fine folks do. Get the flamethrowers ready, but I see nothing wrong with practicing your religious beliefs on an everyday basis.Regards to you all. James
