Hi,

Does anyone know where I may be able to find a metal backspacer for an Emerson CQC-7? Thanks!

You would have to have someone make one and based on my digital caliper its some thick stock that would be required.

There is a guy that does those and then checkers them quite nicely and if I was still a member at the forum he hangs out on I'd give his contact info to you but I don't know how to reach him. Don't think he is a member here. If so he doesn't post here or at least hasn't in a long time.

Goes by Ferrrk I think. Does great work. One of the best I think.

His name is Phil Bruckerhoff.

He makes the best drop-in titanium backspacers, bar none, and they are extremely reasonably priced. Also, he does a lot of really interesting customization variants on the decorating -- checkering is just the start.

PM or email me and I can give you his email, off the forums.

Wow! I sent my CQC-7 off to Phil Bruckerhoff (aka ferrrk) to have a titanium backspacer made for it, and let me tell you, when I got my 7 back, I was absolutely amazed! Phil had not only put in a titanium backspacer (which looks absolutely perfect!), but had also jeweled the liners, smoothed the edges, and replaced the screws with titanium hardware. If any of you are looking for metal backspacers, or any custom work done on your knives whatsoever, I HIGHLY recommend you send them off to Phil. He does amazing work!

That was pretty quick turnaround, even for him, wow.

Phil does great work, I agree.

Congrats on your "new" 7!
