Metal clips

I have several knives with thin steel clips and, if I'm not watching what I'm doing, I'll lean against a wall or something and occasionally gouge or scrape it a bit with the edge of the clip. So far I haven't damaged anything important, but I can just see me gouging my car door or something.
I don't have this problem with synthetic clips (my older Endura) or a wire clip. Anyone else notice this or am I just a klutz?

It happens from time to time. I've even managed to have my AFCK yanked out of my pocket from it getting caught on a kitchen cupboard knob.

I scratched my car once too.

Hasn't happened in a while though. I guess I'm just a little more careful these days.
