Just curious if anyone has parkerized INFI and if so, how did it turn out and hold up. I have not tried it yet but am looking to put some other protection on the metal rather than paint. Wouldn't paint your classic Winchester M70, would you?

Infi really doesn't need protection? Besides, I think parkerizing would be difficult to apply due to infi's semi-stainless nature(it's roughly equivalent if not better than most ats-34/D-2 as far as rust resistance goes, and doesn't pit as bad)

has anyone pasturized INFI. I tried it today but was unsuccesfull

I've never seen a patina on an infi blade, and I did try to make my desert Natural Outlaw rust one time by leaving it in my shower stall at home (while in it's sheath, wet) for 2 weeks. I got one tiny little rust spec that wiped off with my finger on the bead-blasted spine. I bet if it was satin or even just polished with some rubbing compound even that wouldn't have shown up.

I tried to ferment INFI to no avail.
