I have a floor model table saw that I am forced to leave outside, even leaving it covered I can't keep up with the rust. What is a good protectant for the tabletop to slowdown/ stop the rust. Thanks Frank Eaton

This is what I use on my anvil, a old towel soaked with WD40 and held down with bricks. I hope it really works this year??? My anvil is buried in a snow bank.

Flitz wax, same company as Flitx polish , works on blued blades, guns s/steel. 1000 hr. salt spray rating. Fp-10, by shoots choice. Used by military to replace mil-spec and clp, have actually had wd-40 pit d-2. No moister, Just stright wd-40..Use it as belt lube only.

The WD in WD 40 stands for water displacer, but it only works occasionaly for that.

I keep my anvils covered in used oil from a deisel, don;t know what makes the difference, but it works great! I don't use all my anvils all the time, (like the small ones that I take to demo's) so I coat them with the oil, come back months later to an anvil, and it's still oily and not rusted.
