Metal to hard to stamp ???

I got in some real knife metal -- 1084 -- the other day and found it to hard to hacksaw so off to the chop saw for a few small pieces. I then did a hardness test and found it to be 41RC so off to the heat treat oven. I didn't watch the temp real close and only got the pieces back to 30RC.
My question is -- Is 30RC still to hard to use my new 5 letter stamp on without damaging the stamp ?
Thanks for all the help
Pete

Shouldn't be. Those stamps are supposed to be close to 60 Rockwell.

Pete, 30 Rockwell should stamp pretty easy. We have stamps at work that have been used for years and we stamp up to 40 Rockwell daily. Tuck
