I have another question, this time for the dudes and dudettes of the metal crafting field, or for that matter, anyone who is knowledgeable about metal. Is 300 series stainless steel reactive/heat colorable? I have a stainless embassy pen, the reason behind my question, if more specifics are necessary for a diagnosis or whatnot.

By the way, anyone in the path of hurricane sandy, rest assured, all the cantinas thoughts and good wishes go out to you. Turned on the burner today, and it started smoking, probably some burning crumbs caught on the hot electrical element, have all the smoke you need! No, seriously, guys, stay safe, stay dry, stay inside, and, this goes almost without saying, stay alive. This one may not be quite a doozy in power, but it makes up for it in the unholy slow pace it has set for itself, it's swollen, massive size, and the rain/winds it will dump upon the eastern coast and inland eastern areas of the USA, because of its snail pace.

Yes, I have not forgotten, that I too am in the line of fire, ahem, water, should I say, but, there is nothing more to do, save for wait it out.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
Peace.
David

Thank You, David.

Winds are just starting here. Very grey and misty day, so far. Schools and activities canceled and we're under state of emergency.
They're saying that a Power Outage is very likely, so i could be offline for a bit. Other than that, everything is batenned down and we are pretty much ready to ride this one out.

Be prepared for the worst and hope for the best.
Stay Safe Everyone!

You guys back east are in our Prayers. Stay safe!

So far it just rain here, but its snow to the south and east, and flooding to the north... The wind is picking up, but nowhere near the 30+ predicted.

My thoughts go out to those in the harder hit areas.

Well..... It wasnt much more than a little rainstorm here. A little driving rain at times, but mostly just a light constant rain.
No real severe winds and the power was interrupted for all of about 5 minutes.

For this we are thankful and we hope everyone in the worst areas are safe and well.

We got almost no wind, and the rain turn to wet snow. Some friends of our that live east of here got more snow and lost power last night and haven't gotten it back last time I talked to them.
Our thoughts and well wishes go out to everyone that got hit worse than us, and especially to those people who lost their homes and the families of those who lost their lives.

Basically all clear in Delaware. I heard a dude in New Jersey was killed by a big tree.... Death toll is five or six folks, last I heard.... Smoke for the fallen....and strength to carry on for those left behind. Peace.
David

Just a bump to make sure everyone is still doing well. The heavy snow is starting to cause some real problems in parts of WV, just 10 minutes east of our house they got a foot of snow and have been out of power for days!! We only got a few inches, and feel very lucky to be spared when so many people were not.
We are hoping everyone is ok, and our hearts go out all those who are not.
