Was good to finally meet him, Joe, and see Chuck (CPGeyer) again....

Was even better watching Ed access his databanks trying to figure out what the Mean Street Proto's I had were.

I should have dragged my tired, sick, old, gray, hairy ... you get the picture ... carcass to this one. Sounds like an epic show to me -- an actual sighting of WM, and with a 'grail knife!' And you couldn't take pics.

Well, I'll have to use my imagination. ;)

Thanks, 'Skunk... But in all fairness, the previous owner gets all the credit for the Proto makeover. I love it... Looks much better this way than before...
& the BEER is very tasty! :thumbup:
 
I came sooooooo close to buying that Black Paper one. It was Tim that had it up about a year ago, wasn't it Mike?

Such a sweet knife, really wish Jerry had put that into production.

Yeh, when Boss Hog pulled them out at Blade, I bought the double tan one sight unseen (well, I saw the thumb serrations and snagged it without seeing the rest of the knife...).

PorkDucci bought the black paper one I think, and Dark Hog (MIA for almost a decade now...) snagged the black canvas one.

Jerry has said that there were 5 total protos.

The pic shows the 3 from Blade.

My wife contacted the shop, and arranged for the 4th to be made into the Anniversary knife.

The shop is keepin the last one...

Solstice, the one in front of the beer further down the thread?? No it's not my FOGO steak knife, it is... Well, I'll give you a hint. :D It used to be in YOUR collection. (If I followed its chain of ownership properly!) Heck, for awhile, you had 2... It looked different then. A LOT different, LOL... :D
