I was thinking of bringing my Swiss Army Knife Swiss Tool on vacation to Mexico.

It would be transported in checked luggage.

What do you all think?

Checked baggage should be fine; though just hope TSA guys don't riffle through your stuff and decide to "misplace" anything...

If you were in the SW and driving, I'd say, just buy something when you get across the border as I don't trust border patrol down there (due to personal experience).

I took a Leatherman PS2 and a three-layer SAK in my checked bag this year without any trouble.

edit - just noticed you've already arrived. Have fun! Where you at down there?

The understanding I have is that as long as you don't get caught with it you should be fine. If you do get caught with it, just hope that you have some cash or you might be spending a couple months/years in jail. Best of luck!

I just returned from Cancún - brought a SAK, a SOG minitool and a Boker Plus Wharcom. No problems coming or going.
