Hey Guys, I Just Got My Meyerco Catch Dog Designed By Greg Lightfoot Today In The Mail.
It's A Birthday Gift, As I Will Be Turning 20 In Just 9 Days!
Well, I Was Told To Choose A Knife Under $30 For My Birthday.
I Looked At A Lot Of Knives.
I Looked At Kershaw, As I Own Many And Have Owned Many In The Past And Am Very Pleased And Impressed With Their Knives.
I Took A Look At CRKT As I've Owned a Few And They Are Generally Alright Knives.
I Looked At A Cold Steel Pocket Bushman, I Live Near The Woods And Thought It Would Be A Sweet Folder To Have When Just Wandering In The Woods.
I Thought Maybe A Benchmade Monochrome Because Overall It's a Sweet Folder, Even Looked At The Pika II.
But I Kept Coming Back To The Meyerco Catch Dog, I've Never Owned One Before, My Friend Had One At Some Point And I Liked It, Me Being A Girl Who Loves Big Beefy Heavy Duty Folding Knives, It Fit The Bill Perfectly, So I Decided Why Not? I Ordered It.
Today I Got It And Here's My Overview Of It:
-Very Large, And Heavy Knife, But Well Balanced.
-Big Chunk Of A Blade That Comes Hair Popping Sharp.
-Nicely Curved Tanto Point That's Great For Cutting.
-Satisfying Clunk When It Opens.
-Real G-10 Handles With Real Carbon Fiber Bolsters, Smoothed To Have A Smooth Feeling In The Hand But Great Grip.
-The G-10 And Carbon Fiber Give It More Of An Elegant Look Rather Than A Scary "Holy Sh#t That's A Giant Knife" Kind Of Look Lol.
-Thick But Fits Well In The Hand Giving A Nice Grip To Maneuver Your Knife.
-Great Finger Grooving In All The Right Places.
-Fits Comfortably In The Pocket Without Feeling Like You're Working Around A Whale To Grab Your Keys, Phone, Etc.
-Solid Lockup, Centering Is Dead On.
-Thumb Disk Works Like It Should And Is Not Obtrusive.
It's Just An Awesome Knife. You Can Tell Where The Carbon Fiber Ends And The G-10 Begins But It's Not A Gap Or Anything.
If You Would Like To Have A Big Heavy Solid Folder Without Breaking The Bank, This Is It, It's Amazing, I Cannot Find Anything Bad To Say About It.
Just Get One.
