I decided to take a few pics of the new Meyerco Kirby Lambert collaboration folder. This is a folder made in China but really is a super knife for only $48.95!!

Here are some pics. The Lambert is the top one pictured with an Emerson mini Commander, Spyderco Paramilitary 2, and Hogue 3.5" blade EX01.

I tired to show a pic of it in hand and of the lock-up as well.

Yes it does. If it turns out to be reasonably well made, Meyerco could have a real winner on their hands. Here are the specs:

Overall Length: 8.5"
Blade Length: 3.625"
Blade Steel: 8Cr13MoV
Handle Material: Carbon Fiber / G-10
Locking Type: Liner Lock
Weight: 6.4 oz.

I just picked up the new Meyerco Kirby Lambert Shockwave Folder today from Blade HQ. This knife is one the best production folders I ever seen in this price range and beyond. It's like you are holding a custom Kirby Lambert in your hand. Fit and finish are top notch. Blade is 3.75" and .130" thick. Closed it is 4.875". Handle is .5" from outside edge of G10 to opposite outside edge. Weight is 6.4 oz. Blade Steel: 8Cr13MoV. Handle Material: Black Carbon Fiber / Black G-10. The knife opens and closes smooth as silk. Lockup and detent are excellent. If you are looking for a great EDC at an insane price ($48.95 !!!!!!!) I highly recommend you pick one up. Maybe even 2 ( a serrated and a plain) at this price!

Wow Bimmer, you really hit that one out of the park! I remember back in my old army days when money was uber tight, I would've really appreciated a knife like this.

I'm usually pretty hesitant to go with anything Chinese made but if this knife is as good as you guys say, I can see it filling a niche for folks of more humble means. Looks like a great knife for the money. Good job. . .;)

A lot of Chinese made knives are getting better and better. Parent companies are beginning to pick and choose the manufacturers with more care in order to get a superior product. With the Chinese economy on the rise, knife manufactures can afford the latest in CNC machines and training to build a better knife. Of course with low wages comes less expensive knives.

That folder looks great. I love a lot of Lambert's designs.:)

That actually looks pretty decent...

Slap a steel that's NOT 8cr13 on there and you might have a good knife.

It's a very good knife for $52+ bucks - hands down! I carry mine somewhat frequently.
