Hi, guys. Recently I've been kinda interested in the Meyerco cheap Chinese folders, more specifically the Wharning and Hawk Bill (both Dirk Pinkerton designs). Now I've read that Meyerco's Chinese line is a hit and miss and I can't seem to find any info on these two guys. I know that the Wharning fixed blade has been around for awhile and the response is rather good, but not much info on the folder. I'm mostly interested if the fit and finish is fine on these knives. I know they're Chinese made so it's not going to be something extremely fancy, but is it adequate? Thanks!

I have the fixed blade wharning(I think), its a great cheep knife. I carry it quite a bit, for edc andc SD. It takes a good edge but edge retention is not great. But for the price WTH.

Well, yeah but getting them to this side of the pond is a pain in backside so I'd rather gather some info first. If anybody else chimes in would be great. It's just that there aren't much wharncliffes and I'm a sucker for that type of blade.

Untamed, I'm fully aware of the Be Wharned, I'm just interested in others wharncliffes. I'm getting a PPT, the new Yojimbo, the Boker Plus Small Trigonaut also. And would likely buy those two.

Singularity35, thanks!
