I have seen a knife by Mr. English at a Knife (& Gun) show. The dealer does not seem to know much about it, and it is not especially sharp, thus I have managed to resist so far.

I would appreciate any information that anyone has about these knives and/or contact information for the maker. I particularly would like to know what steel the maker tends to use and heat treatment or cryogenic quenching.

The knife appears to be a practical using knife with comfortable black-gray micarta handles.

I was previously given some information at this thread http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005043.html

Thanks for any information.

I have one of Jim English's knives. It's a tanto style with black micarta handle, blade is ATS 34. Jim is a full-time fireman and relys on his knives. His knives are very reasonably priced. I have his phone number. Email if you need it.
