I am traveling to MI soon and have been reading up on their current laws. I had a quick question about my ZT 302, as I understand, it would be completely legal to carry as long as I do not carry it with criminal intent.

Is this correct? I lived in the state for 6 years and always carried a ZT 350 and never had any issues, but I also never ran into any cops for any reason. So barring maintaining that, I just wanted to make sure my knife was good to go?

I also am hoping that some legislation that it seems is going through now will help clarify knife laws, since they recognize any states firearms carry permit, it seems like a moot point.

Thanks for the info.

You should be good to go. Just don't have any "intent to use unlawfully against another." Also check the local ordinances of the city's you visit. There is no knife preemption and each city is allowed to make up their own asinine laws. Most declare some type of 3" rule.
