I'm very pleased that our Miami Beach Gunting Seminar with Bram Frank was quite a success. We had quite a diversified group that attended including many MA, including Hanchi "Judo George" Brich, & a few LEO's attended as well. Terry Rich and his group from North Carolina taught a stimulating course on Gunting Handcuffing Application. Bob Wallace gave a spectacular demonstration on Judo techniques, he is a well known Judo instructor and retired LEO who specializes in controlling tactics & pressure point techniques. These same tactics are amplified with the Gunting.
The star of weekend was Bram Frank, who taught an extensive course on Gunting techniques and application. So much knowledge was thrown our way that many of the attendees are reeling from the experience. Needless to say everyone left the seminar full of knowledge and itching to show their new skills to others. Since one of the courses objectives were for everyone to be able to "teach" the Gunting, those who attended received certification at the Basic Instructor level.
Quite a few of our attendees had to leave before we were able to take a group picture. I will post the picture as soon as I figure out how. LOL (I'm NOT a computer genious, that's for sure)
We plan on hosting the Miami Beach Gunting Seminar annually every March. We will also have Bram down at our dojo several times a year for mini-seminars. If interested in attending a Gunting seminar, please contact Jody at Miami Beach Martial Arts (305) 673-CHOP.
