I am trying to trade my small wood classic for a large classic. It seem from what I have read, that the micarta is the way to go. The people that owns the micarta knives, seems to really like them. Does it make the handles seems fuller? I always liked the handles to be a little wider on knives. I beleive the large micarta would be the way to go. What do you guys think?

You might try a search on this forum using "Micarta" and user "Scott Dog" - - he really likes the micarta for a practical carry knife.
Personally, I'm trying to narrow down my choice between two models of large Sebbie and the Micarta is one of them. - - -

Got the bloodwood inlays & the micarta (both sm). both feel equally good in my hand....... Lg micarta is on the way.. wouldnt take a loss making a trade, their just to close in comfort. At least for me.

Cheers,

Grips better, way better than the wood scales. I would keep what you have and buy a Micarta Classic. Contact Todd@2theHilt.com for a great price on one.

Razor,

I agree with MPE, you can never have too many Sebs. I have both a large and small micarta, you can't go wrong with em. Full bead blasted titanium handles along with the micarta inlays make for an outstanding grip!

I have had MANY inlaid Sebenzas, I would like to add the all around PERFECT combo would be:

Large Classic/ Dual Thumblugs/ Zulu Serrations/ Micarta Inlaid

110% balls to the wall performance.

My opinion only*

Does the bead blast finish really help with the grip too ? (I'm trying to decide what model of Large Classic to get & its between the bloodwood & the micarta. Like the micarta for grip, & the polished surfaces of the wood inlays for visibility if dropped in the woods, - especially under low light conditions.) Thanx, - -
