Micarta for the Necker

I remember checking in here every day waiting for the first person to post about their new Becker Necker.

Now I'm checking in every day waiting for the first pics of someone's Necker with micarta scales. Somebody has to do this!

I've been thinking about buying one & sending it to TAZ.

He did a FANTASTIC job adding Black linen micarta scales to my Camillus arclite.

He also modified the kydex sheath for me to fit the handles.

All at a very reasonable price.

Thanks for offering to post these for me.
The D2 blade from A.G.Russell was bead blasted first
to remove the "graffiti", then Bodecote's Diamond DLC was added,
then shipped to TAZ to have the handles added & sheath modified to fit handles.

man, this one looks really sweet. is it just me or does it have this onion design look?
how did you aply the coating?

I bought the basic knife at ag russell & had them ship it to bodycote, they sandblasted it & coated it with the Diamond DLC & they shipped it to TAZ to have the handles fitted. Lastly I took a jclip from On-scene Tachtical to belt mount it. It can be worn vertical or horizontal (my favorite) or even upside down when hung to my PFD strap.

This is as close to a custom knife that I have, As far as I know it is one-of-a-kind.

oh, i thought it was some kind of a 'do it yourself' coating kit like the BT2 spray for aplying in the oven. anyway, great knife!
