Micarta handle scales on original Brute and Patrol Machete?

Can anyone here confirm that the currently offered green canvas micarta handle scales will fit on the older Camillus Beckers? I have a Becker Brute and the Patrol Machete from several years ago. It looks like the new scales will fit, but can someone tell me for sure? I did a quick search but didn't find anything specific.

My two older Backers have sat in the bottom of a couple of survival kits for the last few years. may be time to pull them out for an upgrade, and then add a BK2 and a BK5 to the kit!

All full size BK's will fit them.
 
It'll approximatly fit on the Patrol Machete. What I mean is the bolt holes line up fine, but the machete (mine at least) Doesn't quite fit any of the scales perfectly right. You'll have to do some minor fitting to make them flush. I've never had a Camillus Becker with perfect fit and finish.
 
I can handle some minor fitting. In fact, I've got some ideas about making some of my own scales. I did some knifemaking twenty years or so ago. I'm getting the itch to do some more knife tinkering. ;)
 
Sweet, there's a HOW TO around here somewhere which may help. Lemme see if I can find it.

basically anything from Camillus onward is your best bet. previous items are hit and miss. for instance, it's more than a bit off for pre-Blackjack stuff, but fixable...
