Micarta handles for BK15, 16 17

there will be, but as of now there hasnt been any wod on a production date. So far the only in existence were prototypes now in the hands of the mods and Ethan. Hopefully soon tho since i need me some micarta

Yeah, I make them...but just for myself :D...sorry, that was a bad joke. But as diesel weasel said, they're non existant and will probably stay that way till the end of the year...There are people who do do custom handle jobs though.

Thanks for the very quick reply, I am thinking of ordering the micarta handle at the same time with the knife.

Weren't the Non-FPRs suppose to have the choice of Micarta or Gripivory? Or was I just dreaming that up?

tis a dream. Even the "potential" release dates on the micarta (not really a date more of an outline) was tweeners first, micarta "much later"

Surprised you don't make your own.

well, i have some, ...

but they were promised for later, and they will be later.

Was gonna make a new thread to ask this question but now I dont need to! :D So the consensus is that it will be tweeners released first, and micarta handles made available at a later date?

As of right now, this day and time, there is no talk of micarta for these blades. It is not in the works, and from what I have been able to tell, its not even being discussed right now.

That may change, but right now, Kabar is working their ass off to get the knives made, and ready to release. If micarta comes, it will be later.

Soon as I get a few tweeners Im going to get some micarta scales going....for myself and a few buddies. ;)

There are several folks who make handles on here. I work primarily with wood, although I'm gonna try my hand at making my own micarta here shortly. Give Oregon F'aler a holler.

Not these hands. I tried to steal Moose's but he hadn't had enough strawberry corn liquor. I totally misjudged his tolerance.

Actually, I was on planet corn liquor myself and just forgot to steal the damn things.

he he. Handle jobs.

On track! Obviously this has been answered and then some. But I like the delayed release. Every time I've gone to make wood scales I end up taking a walk around the woods make a fire cook some chili and when I get home buy micarta.

I got some fresh oak that just fell near my folks. I'm also thinking about something more exotic. I'm pretty excited to take care of my own handle job. he he:D
