Micarta Handles...

Why did Buck stop making knives with Micarta handles??? Or did they???? Does anyone know??? I like the white handles, But the others colors are great too... :thumbup: ...

It may habe been cost but if I remember right, we used to get the micarta in as big sheets. Those sheets had to be ripped to the proper width and then cut into blocks, shaped sanded ect.
The wood handles were actually recieved the same way and had to go through the same processes.

All in favor of a return to the micartas of yester-year bombard Joe with emails...naah, jest kiddin Joe. It would be nice to see a few produced in the 300s,500s, & 110s for special occasions, in a limited run, you know, just to keep things interesting. Something to occupy your free-time;)

Yeah, that would be Great... and don't for get the 112s.... :D ....
 
I'm a maroon for Micarta! I've posted more than once about it over the years. I would love to see it as an option for a handle material on the "Build your own Knife" feature on Buck's website! I'd have me a 110 with S30V and Maroon Micarta for this year's birthday knife! Say It's so, Joe! :)
