Was thinking about getting some micarta handles for my BK9 and was wondering if they are roughly the same shape and thickness as the standard Grivory that comes on the Beckers.
I really like the Grivory but thought i might dress up the 9 a little bit, just don't want to change the way it feels in my hand to much.

They are just a tad thinner, but with liners will match pretty close. It does give the knife a more solid feel for sure. They will change the balance point a bit as well. Nothing major, but they make the knife a bit faster in the hand.

Thanks tradewater, thats just what i wanted to know.

Depends where you get them from.

I had a pair from Tomars and they felt the same as the grivory size wise.

Now have a pair from Saitcutlery and they're a bit larger and fit my paw better.

Good point. I have four pairs of them, but they are all Ka-bar.

Thanks for the info LECTER, i'll be getting the KA-BAR micarta then now that i know this.

plus, as they are solid, you can sand them to suit. safety first.
