Hello all! It's been a while since I've been on here as I've had to back away from knife making for the most part over the past few months for several reasons.

I have had a request for a couple of knives with handles made from face masks, i.e. blue COVID masks. Now I have never done any homemade "Micarta" and really haven't wanted to, to be honest. So I am able to keep this record intact, does anybody have any sources for face mask Micarta? I would be most appreciative of any leads.

i have never seen any i can imagine it would be difficult to have them saturated enough so that there are no air bubbles in there. you would have to fill the air bubbles while finishing the handle, if there were any.

I had not thought about the potential absorption issues that might come up. i think I will try that out with some test material. Might be worth looking on Etsy, too. Thanks!
