This thing is incredibly sweet to hold in the hand!
A little "Out of the box" for me, but I couldn't be happier!
Differentially heat treated 5160, fully forged from heavy stock.
Nickel silver guard and butt cap.
Mild steel pommel nut.
Slag blasted Black Canvas Micarta for my "Survival Finish". (When it gets wet, it almost sticks to your hand!)
Full take-down construction.

Thats nice I like the hardening lines and the overall package really looks good to me:thumbup:

I really like that a lot. The handle sure does look "extra grippy". When you say "slag blasted" I assume you're referring to a sand/bead blasing operation, but can you expound a little on the blasting medium?

thanks,

If I'm not mistaken, it's what the sandblasting people call Black Beauty. I got some from Jerry Rados, of Rados Damascus fame, but I can also get it right here in my little ol' Illinois farm town at the Lumber Yard!
It's about 10 bucks for 100 pounds! Cheap.
I just blow it through an inexpensive syphon home-owner sand blaster of mine.
If I can do it, you can do it!
