I'm ordering a new custom knife, but can't decide between a micarta or G10 handle. I have a some of each in my collection, but just can't decide on what to get on this particular knife. I've got a lot of black knives, so I was thinking that maybe some micarta with color might be nice. Then again, G10 is hard to beat in the grip department. Any suggestions?

I am not sure about all micarta but but some get dirty because whatever fiber they use, absorbs water, oil - everithing from the hands.

Personally, I rate G10 higher the micarta.

However, I better ask for Carbon Fiber if I will order custom. It is light, strong enough and looks cool.

Thanks, Vassili.

Sand-blasted OD green canvas might be an option. Very grippy.

You could also check if you/the maker can get your/his hands on silver G-10, which looks like this:
