Micarta or Neoprene handle overall

I am making a boot knife for a guy in the special forces. What handle material would stand up to all temperatures and climate and have the best grip. thanks

I'd want the micarta as long as it had a blasted non-slip finish.

I'd go with bead blasted canvas or linnen mycarta also, tough, grippy, won't flex away from the tang like neopream can.

Thanks for the reply. But how do you put a course finish on it? I don't have a way to bead blast.
