Okay, gang, what was the consensus on the name of this pattern/color? Did we settle on green snakeskin? Picture below shows regular SS on the right and this stuff to the left.

That looks like green linen snakeskin to me....the same as on my Desert Satin Jack.
 
I'll admit being a cultural infidel, and that I don't remember seeing a color pattern like that before...i know that you can have the same material on two different slabs and they look very different, but that's gorgeous and unique to me.
 
Keep in mind the variations of the original micarta and the way the pattern is affected by the milling process. I agree that this is just green linen, but the way it was milled makes for a beautiful pattern. Wouldn't mind adding this one to the pack. Really nice.
 
It is not green linen, at least not compared to other green linen I have had. If you wet this stuff down and compare it to wet green linen, there is a distinct difference. Jerry did some SJs with this stuff on it too. I think it was pretty limited availability.
