Does anybody make 1/4" micarta scales for a Becker BK-9? I am looking for scales that are already drilled, cut and shaped - would need the mounting screws as well.

Thanks

Good luck. I've been asking about BK7 scales for a year now and nobody can ever point me in the right direction.

Scales really need to be fitted to the knife tang. Why not just send the knife to someone who will make them?
After all, screwing on a set of handles doesn't make you a knifemaker!

Thanks abiggs.

Thanks Bill - That's kind of what I'm looking for - i.e. someone to make me some scales. Any leads?

I can, but I'm sure there are others here who could do it cheaper.
Check in the maker's forum.

Once upon a time Justin at Ranger Knives would modify Beckers with Micarta handles and it was pretty reasonable too!

Yeah, Justin At Ranger knives did, He made a bunch and had them laying aroung so if you contacted him, you didn't have to send your knife in, he had pre-made for BK7 and 9. But didn't he sell to Ontario knife company? of so, forget it, Go to Kinifekits.com, and order whatever materials you want, micrata of any color too. and make them your self. They have a furum with full tutorials on everything imaginable. and since it's a forum you can ask questions. Thats your best bet if you want to make a fun project out of it, and learn a skill while your at it. if you just want Micarta handles, send it in to someone. Also, The Lady at Camillus, who answers the phone is still there as of a few months ago, they are importing, knives still, like the heat and blaze and sizzle, so they Probably have BK Micarta laying around, thats how I got mine.12 bucks, about 3-4 months ago, then I learned how to make my own, and it was a lot more fun then waiting by the mailbox:-)

Ps, a Satin, Black CF handled BK9 is Nice
