Are the factory micarta slabs currently available the *exact* same dimensions as the current grivory scales? Or are they different, or are they the size of the Camillus-era scales?

Mine were slightly oversized, by like a 1/32". I think it so you can sand them smoother if you want, or rougher, without causing them undersizing them.

don't forget too, the new KaBar Grivory is a LITTLE bit slimmer as well compared to the old Camillus Grivory.

Exactly! I like the newer, slimmer ones (a bit ironically). I didn't want to get micarta if they were too much thicker. I don't mind a little sanding, of course.
I have a question. The aftermarket micarta scales are contoured the same as the Grivory scales, right? I don't mind the grivory, and think the contouring is one of the best aspects.. They look like they are on, in the pics i've seen.
