Gang- There was talk of a Micarta or G10 handled Sodbuster run in the near future. No liners. I would get one or two. Who else?

Who's hypothetically making it? I like the idea but it would probably depend on the manufacturer. I had a custom Keith Johnson sodbuster in micarta with a damascus blade but I sold it...sigh

Nathan- I spoke to a fellow at Case. I really like the new Case CF soddie but give me Micarta any day. I think this will happen.

Haven't bought a Case in quite some time but I'd be in

Cool. Thanks Nathan.
I was on the phone again today with Case. Things are cooking in the Soddie department.

The A.G. Russell Rancher and Cowboy can be had in ebony "rucarta".

I've got an AG Russel Rancher in Rucarta and it's a fine knife by all means but I'd like to throw some more money at one and get a bit better blade steel like good 440C or 154CM.

I'll be all over the micarta and g10 soddies from Case. It would be even better if they come in CV but either way I'll be picking up any new combo. Maybe we'll be lucky and see some of these at blade.

Thanks guys. I have a AGR Cowboy incoming.
Gerber offered their LST in Micarta back in the 70's, I think, and they were really nice little pocket knives. A Micarta Soddies would be SO nice.

I agree Rolf, micarta soddies are pretty neat... I love mine:p

I think the the Case will be a great seller in micarta, and even more so if they do a CV version. Should be a good bit cheaper than the Carbon Fiber model.

That would be a great pocketknife, especially if they made it in CV and put a real point on the blade. I keep wanting to try one but that blunt nosed profile is a turn off.

I keep picturing a large sodbuster in natural micarta...all kinds of win!

Yep! ^
I have a Dozier Tanto with the natural canvas G10 and it's gorgeous!
