Other than soap and a scrub brush, what micarta tips would anyone like to share? Also, how do they get micarta into that shiny, polished state? I've seen some BK11 grips like that on the bay, and was wondering if anyone had ever tweaked the Kabar made ones this way? (Think how Blind Horse handles look ususally)

Nothing special, I just like to sand off the hard lines and edges. From the factory they come pretty squared off in places. My goal is to get them like the Factory Grivory in fit and feel.

If you want to spend some time, you can sand them as smooth as you like. Then a few coats of Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil gunstock finish will give them a nice durable finish.

Don't forget the protective gear, Micarta is terrible terrible stuff to play with.
