I have a MercWorx Sniper and the micarta is a little too slick for me so I made little ridges in it with my folder and sanded it down, but that didn't seem to help. So any one have any ideas how to make it grippy, maybe a coating or something?

A dremel with a flex shaft and a spherical burr can do nice work, my Ontario R1s' micarta handle got a treatment. Kinda expensive tool but worth it to me.

Having worked as a mechanic for a couple of decades, smooth tools are much better to work with for extended periods; rough tools will chew up your hands.
