Here's some of what I've been working on.
Blade : Aldo 1084 I'd gotten from Brion Tomberlin
Handle : Blue denim micarta I'd made with stainless pins.
Dad and I had gone over one day to see my great uncle and we'd gotten to talking about the bladesmithing and such, well in the end he ended up giving me a little portable stick welder that I've been using. So as a Thank you I'd made this, dad also said it might make him more apt to selling/giving me his bigger welder and chopsaw as he doesn't really use them. He'd bought them many years ago and used them to build the fence that goes around his property. So I whipped out this fulltang knife. I'll probably make a sheath to go with it.
I'd decided I wanted to try my hand at giving the handle some more contour, and I'm quite pleased with how it ended up.
While making it I'd kinda had the demo knife in mind that the demonstrators made at Bowie's, so it's somewhat similar.
If anyone is interested in the blue denim micarta let me know as I've got more of this color as well as more of the same color cloth to make some more. Also some that's just a shade lighter.
