Micarta Wear Question

Hi all,

I do not have any micarta scales. I am trying to decide between the GiantMouse Ace Biblio green micarta and the g10. I like the looks of the micarta but worry about it staining. Does micarta easily stain? I intend to use this knife as a general all purpose EDC and cary with me a lot. I know it will darken over time but wondered about the stain factor. Any pictures of micarta over time would be great. Thank you.

Its pretty much impervious to everything! Depending on the finish your get on it, it may darken if its roughly finished but is easily brought back to like new with some soap n a toothbrush!! If its sanded to a smoother finish it wards of most everything including hand oils for a good long time.


The pic with the three knives is a rougher finish of OD green micarta!
The other two are sanded to a finer finish!!
This is my favorite handle material by far and you can guess my favorite color!!
