I have noticed in the past small cracks in some of my micarta handles.... could I be doing something that would cause that?
Also I am working on a hidden tang,black paper micarta handle dagger.
I used a router to hollow out the slabs, and as I was grinding the outside to shape I noticed what looked like a crack in the micarta along the same depth as the hollowed out part. Its is still firmly attached .... but....
Any suggestions/thoughts.....
(if the problem is the micarta I really dont feel like wasting my time trying another piece)
