Recently acquired these two miniature knives. I believe they are very early ones made by Walker. The only mark is on the folder by I believe Patricia (Michaels wife at the time) signing her artwork and engraving. There is no mark on the dagger but they came together in a bag with what I am thinking was Walkers 1st business card. This is speculation on my part. The both have ivory & the folder has the linerlock which he is famous for. I have tried contacting Michael to confirm & am waiting to hear...could be a long wait, I'm sure he's a busy man.
The dagger is 3 5/16" long with a 1 7/8" blade. 1 3/8" closed on the folder with a 1" blade. It is very solid and snaps nicely when opened. Very beautifully done

I hope they’re authentic Michael Walker pieces. Either way, still cool!

Yes, definetly a skilled craftsman. I know the engraving is by Patricia Walker as I have seen her initials with the same style on later knives made by her husband.

Folder looks like an early Walker
Yes, he used rivets and with the liner lock Patricia mark, I am 99% sure it was probably made by him in the early '80s in the little log cabin shop when he first started. His business card has an owl on it. I found the photo below. Even though he is older, it looks like he has had an interest in birds of prey, specifically the owl. I figure the town on the card, Questa, was the shop's location before he moved to Taos. I have tried contacting him but no luck yet. The dagger is so finely made, I'm sure it is his also.
