In honor of the announcement of a NEW Halloween movie, what do you guys think Michael’s modern/updated EDC should be?
 
I think it should be a carbon steel Lamson and Goodnow large chef's knife as it was in the original, it would also be really cool if it was the ridiculous and artistically dramatized yet cool curved blade illustrated on the original poster.
 
Dual Wielding Competition Choppers and he should have a high pitched scream each time he uses them. That'd be weirdly scary. Otherwise, stick to what he's been successfully using for almost 30 years.

In the 2006 movie Fatal Contact, Wu Jing goes on a killing rampage with a butter knife(!). It's only a movie, but I'm certain a butter knife/round-tipped dinner knife could actually be a dangerous weapon. Michael Myers using a butter knife in one scene would probably be more impactful than his usual butcher or chef's knife.

The original Halloween released in 1978, exactly 40 years ago ;)
