This is a jds1 design he calls the "Michigan Trail Knife." It`s 8" overall with a 3 3/4" blade 1/8" thick and 1" tall. It`s a classic drop point hunter design, that will also work well for small game. These will go for $130.00 with leather sheath and shipping. If you are interested post here, and email me with your handle choice.

Would you sell just a blade blank? Kinda want one of these with a cord wrap, what would it run if you're willing?

Hey John, I'm lovin' this knife! Here's a glamour shot I took the day after I got home (from your photo stump to mine :D).

This knife is just what I was looking for. The extra handle length makes a BIG difference for me. That combined with your personal shaping and it's the best handling knife in my collection. I really like the slim drop point and the blade length is perfect too. So far it's only seen salad making duty, but this weekend will be firewood prep and open firepit grilling. I'll post some pics then. Thanks again!

Jeff

You did really well on that design, it`s the perfect hunting or hiking knife. Not too big, not too small!

man.. i REALLY like the looks of this knife.... it looks like it would be a great field/hunting knife... great job John and JDS1...

i'll see if i can come up with some more $$$...:o how much would it be without a sheath??

With no sheath, $115.00

how much would one be in 3/32 with no handle and no sheath? Perhaps with a slightly extended tang should I ever decide to add (or have you add) a handle. I know we discussed this before, but wondering if 3/32 stock brings down the price any.

Like everyone else here cash is pretty tight for me, but I do like this knife.

When would these be shipping (ie when would I have to be ready to pay for it)

Thanks John.

-natural micarta scales like JDS1's.
-some thumb grooves along the spine.

also, is the handle length 4 1/4?? if so, is it possible to shorten the handle a hair?? i have hobbit sized hands (M).. if not no biggie... i'll see how it works for me..
