What makes a MT mini socom with a satin finish worth so much more than a black blade or a beadblast blade? Thanks

Are you talking about the Brend satin?

I would guess just because they are rarer than the MTs with black or bead blast blades, but I don't know for sure.

I'm WAY out of my league answering Microtech questions around here, but I think I can shed some light on this one. The value of particular MT's is based upon how many were produced. Of course, bottom line is that satin finish IS a much more expensive finish than either black-T or especially bead blasting, because of the time involved to hand-work the finish. And if it was done by Walter Brend, then you can equate that to having your car painted by Picasso. It would cost a bit more than the average paintjob. So, if 100 satin finished mini socoms were produced, and 1000 black T ones were produced, the satin finish will command a substantially higher price on the secondary market. Hey Microholics-did I get this one right?
