This hollow ground 6.5 is mine and was my favorite up until last week when I finally got a hollow ground 7.5. Thanks Chubby!!! I don't have pics yet. Maybe next weekend.

I've collected tons of other pics from other people. Anything in particular that you are looking for?

THAT, my friend, is art.

Beautiful. It makes me think of when swords were not just weapons, but things of beauty as well - worthy of passing down through generations as family heirlooms.

Finally got the two together.

Dean, great pic! Most pics are display table type stuff. Good to see one in the hands of a user.

Redhook, very nice set of Blades you have there.
I have a rig heading my way that will be a new sheath/sub-load that I'll take a pic or three once it gets in. Take care. Dean

Dean, Sounds cool. I'd like to see it.

I really like the sheath on my 6.5. Not only is it tight, but the lanyard can loop though the accessory pocket strap to ensure that it will not come out. But, the sheath on the 7.5 is a little looser and longer so that the lanyard won't reach. I'd like to come up with a way to lock it in so that it won't accidentally fall out.

Thats how I jump mine or carry it when I think I won't need it right away, with the lanyard through the fastex. Would the 7.5 's laynard fit through the fastex if you turned the blade around in the sheath? Seeing the the lanyard comes out on the L side of the 7.5 vs. the R side of the 6.5, this might give you the extra room you need to secure it.
The blade would now be in the "reverse" position but it would be secure and depending on how you train this might work in your advantage. Take care. Dean

Dean,

I didn't think about that before. That is I did notice they were tied differently, but I didn't think about flipping the knife around. However, I measured the distance and it still comes up short. Besides, how would you change the kydex insert around? It is definately directional.

I should really correct the statement in my previous post. If I loosen up the bottom buckle as far as it will go, that will give me just enough to get the fastex closed with the lanyard inside. But, if I don't put something large in the pocket, there is a chance it will fall out. It's not a pressing issue and I'll get around to working things out one of these days. I could always have the guys rewrap it with a longer lanyard as well.
