I am going to NYCKS next week where Mick Strider will have a have a table. I am a huge fan of the SnG and would love to buy a custom. I cannot find any info on Mick Strider show customs. For example, Does he sell via lotterys? Is it first come, first served? Does he sell variations he usually does not sell? Any info or experience you may have would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

According to Mick, he said he doesn't have anything to bring with him to the NYCKS, but I know that his customs typically go for $1000+.

Just out of curiosity.... is it like a mad dash over to the popular knife maker's tables (ie. Hinderer, Strider, Les George) when the door opens? I haven't had a chance to attend one yet but I always wonder how chaotic it must be.

I have no idea, this will my first show. I am also interested if that is the case.

Every year at blade it's a mad dash to Hinderer, I'm sure it's that way for all the big names.

Make sure to ask him about his military service while you're there. ;)

I was asking for info on knives, not the social life of their maker. I guess I am not allowed to ask about Striders here without it turning into a flame thread. Its a shame.

One negative comment is a flame thread? You wanna see a flame thread go over to the Strider forum and say something negative about him or his knives. Oh, yeah, social life? Didn't see anything but a comment on his military service. My military service was anything but social but if someone elses was a tea party so be it.

It is a mad rush but most of the "big" name guys sell VIA lottery. but there are first come first serves for sure.
Hinderer
rj martin
begg
manaro
and luc burnley all are having lotterys at NYCKS

Even if Mick was just a mess cook in the Air Force I still love my Striders!! :)

Couldn't agree more!

Oh, and if you want to see what the customs go for, just have a look on any of the big sites. Google is your friend.

Never heard the Air Force mess cook fiction before. Just Army super secret ops lies. So. . . . are they getting into kitchen ware now?

No offense to anyone, but when it appears in the title of a thread on BF/General, "Strider" = Click here for drama

Let's do our best to keep this thread from becoming a steaming pile of manure.
